Last month, India bought more CNG, hybrid and electric cars than petrol ones.
First time ever.
Alternative fuels 41.95%, petrol 40.85%.
To be fair, CNG is doing most of the work here. CNG 25%, hybrid 9%, EV 7.6%.
Personally, I am happy. This is progress in the right direction for the environment. 🇮🇳
Professionally, as we work with automobile manufacturers, this is an interesting time.
Dealers are already holding 38-40 days of stock against FADA's 21-day benchmark. FADA has even asked manufacturers to send only what is selling.
And the fuel mix is changing fast. Within one month, hybrid went up, and EV went down. Dealers say buyers are also hesitating over E20 petrol.
The question is no longer "how many to build". It is "which ones".
Flexible plans will beat big plans. Companies need to move fast.
And guess what is needed for that? Right tech and team.
